5. Syndrome de Turner
Épidémiologie
Prévalence : 1/2 500 car 99 % des monosomies X se terminent en fausses couches spontanées ou en MFIU.
Caryotype :
• 50 % : 45 X0;
• 20 % mosaïques : coexistence de cellules 46 XX et 45 X0;
• 30 % : 46 XX mais avec un chromosome X altéré.
Physiopathologie
Hypogonadisme hypergonadotrope.
Fonctionnement normal et même augmenté du système endocrinien hypophysaire mais absence de réponse ovarienne.
Diagnostic : signes fonctionnels
• Petite taille dès la naissance, puis s’accentue dans l’enfance avec une absence de poussée pubertaire. Taille moyenne : 1,42 m.
